Name: Amanda Pasko, MS, MPH, RD.

Amanda Pasko, MS, MPH, RD, serves on FooderGhor’s Expert Advisory Panel as the nutrition expert. Amanda is the founder and owner of AP Nutrition & Training, providing high-touch 1-1 nutrition and health programs serving athletes from the youth through elite and masters levels, as well as health-centric adults and families. She earned a Master’s in Science in Nutritional Epidemiology from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Master’s in Public Health Nutrition and Registered Dietitian Credential from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. Prior to founding her business, she gained experiences with a broad range of health goals in several clinical as well as the university setting.

Through her work at AP Nutrition & Training, Amanda uses a highly personalized approach to help clients to use practical and enjoyable food choices to reach their health and performance goals. Clients include athletes, including Olympic hopefuls and National age group champions, and active, health-conscious adults looking for systematic, individualized guidance that fits in a busy professional and family schedule. Nutrition is one of the most powerful ways to enhance energy throughout each day and shift numerical health metrics. AP Nutrition & Training programs translate science into practical recommendations tailored to each individual’s daily life and goals.

Amanda is also a strong believer in the value of written work to disseminate evidence-based health information. In addition to her work with FooderGhor, she serves as content editor for global health platform BetterMe and has written for BRAINZ magazine and the track and field magazine Masters News. Her own written work focuses on energy availability, recovery from injury and pain through nutrition, and optimizing physical performance with food choices and timing.

Amanda’s work in nutrition are closely tied with her pursuits in track and field. She trains for and competes in the multi-events (heptathlon and decathlon) and ultra multi-events (involving 14 or 20 track and field events over 2 days). She has competed in 9 international meets, including 2 World Championship wins and 2 additional top scores in the world. Optimizing performance nutrition has been a major key in optimizing energy during training and maximizing performances over several hours in competition. Outside of her business and sport, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, and trying different cultures’ cuisines and has a goal to visit each National Park in the US and compete in a track meet in each state in the US.
